Micah reached out to my business through LinkedIn. I explained to him that because of a previous bad experience with an accountant, I had prepared my own taxes for the past five years. What I really needed was a bookkeeper and Micah graciously referred me to someone that I use today. Through the course of our new method of accounting, my bookkeeper called on Micah for support and eventually we arranged to meet him in person to find opportunities that I’ve been missing for years to lower my tax liabilities. If I ever have questions, he’s been very helpful and responsive by email. If things were uncovered that could be handled better, it certainly wasn’t done in a shaming way and wasn’t explained to me in clinical accountant-speak. So I am slowly overcoming my fear of CPAs and I plan to use Micah this upcoming tax season.
